About these policies
The salon is a private, invitation-based service for adult members. These policies describe what content is permitted, what is categorically prohibited, how to report a concern, and how to request removal of material — including under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (the “DMCA”). They apply to every member, every conversation, every uploaded file, and every piece of content generated by or through the service.
They are written to meet the standards of our payment processors, including CCBill, and the requirements of the Discover, Visa, and Mastercard card networks. We hold ourselves to those standards even where local law would permit less.
The nature of our service and AI disclosure
Cherryverse is an artificial-intelligence companion service. Conversations, voices, avatars, and any imagery produced by the service are generated by AI systems and third-party AI providers we have selected for the purpose. The personalities you converse with are fictional. They are not real people, and any resemblance to a real person, living or dead, is unintended.
We confirm that all AI-generated content produced by the service — whether text, voice, image, or animation — is identified as AI-generated, so that members are clearly aware that the content they see and hear is synthetic and not a record of real events or real people. This labelling is applied at the point of generation and is preserved through the interface.
Members may not represent AI-generated material as authentic, as a real person’s statements, or as a record of real events, whether on the service or elsewhere.
Prohibited content
The following categories of content are strictly prohibited. They may not be created on the service, requested from the service, uploaded to the service, shared through the service, or produced using the service’s AI systems. This list is not exhaustive; we reserve the right to act on material that violates the spirit of these policies even where a specific item is not enumerated below.
- Deepfakes, face-swaps, or any synthetic likeness of a real, identifiable person.
- Any content involving minors, including subjects depicted in diapers, age-regression scenarios, or any other content sexualizing, endangering, or exploiting minors.
- Non-consensual content or scenarios of any kind, including content depicting subjects who are asleep, unconscious, restrained without consent, or otherwise unable to consent.
- Incest content or scenarios, including step-relations presented as incest.
- Watersports content or scenarios.
- Violence, abductions, snuff, fantasy snuff, torture, mutilation, or content that glorifies serious harm to a person.
- Bestiality, zoophilia, or animal cruelty content or scenarios.
- Sexual activity under the influence of drugs, alcohol, hypnosis, or other forms of impaired or compromised consent.
- Prostitution, escorting, or solicitation content or scenarios, and any content that facilitates the exchange of sexual conduct for money or anything of value.
- Polygamy content or scenarios.
- Illegal activity of any kind, including instructions to build weapons, manufacture controlled substances, or otherwise plan or commit illegal acts.
- Professional advice that we are not qualified to provide, including medical, legal, financial, tax, gambling or handicapping advice.
- Hate speech, including content that demeans, threatens, dehumanizes, or incites violence or discrimination against any person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or any other protected characteristic.
Material falling within any of the above categories must not be published and, where it has been published, must be removed immediately upon discovery or notice.
Consent, likeness, and deepfakes
Where content includes the image, voice, or strong likeness of a real, identifiable person — whether captured, generated, or modified — there must be a verifiable record of that person’s informed consent to that use. If a record of consent cannot be established, the content is considered to be in violation of these policies and the requirements of our payment processors, and must not be published or must be removed immediately.
Records of consent — including model releases, signed consent forms, and government-issued proof-of-age documentation — must be maintained for all applicable content and must be produced to CCBill, or to us where we hold the obligation, within five (5) business days of a request. Failure to provide satisfactory documentation may result in suspension or termination of payment processing services and removal of the content in question.
For the avoidance of doubt, content that includes an image or strong likeness of an actual person where that person has not provided consent to the use of their image or likeness — including, without limitation, the creation of deepfake content — is considered to be in violation of Discover, Visa, and Mastercard requirements and must not be published or must be removed immediately.
If we disagree with an assertion that consent is not valid, we will allow that disagreement to be resolved by a neutral body at our expense. We accept a neutral arbitrator as an acceptable neutral body for this purpose, consistent with the position of Discover, Visa, and Mastercard.
Copyright and intellectual property
Members must not use the service to reproduce, distribute, repurpose, or generate works derived from copyrighted material without the copyright holder’s permission. This includes images, text, designs, code, audio, video, and any other copyright-protected work, whether the request is direct, paraphrased, or expressed as a prompt or instruction to the AI.
We respond to credible reports of infringement under the DMCA procedure described below.
AI safeguards, moderation, and controls
As an AI-related service we maintain the following safeguards, which we will document and provide to CCBill as part of onboarding and ongoing due diligence:
- An inventory of the AI systems, models, and third-party providers used to power the service.
- A description of the categories of AI-generated and synthetic content produced or distributed by the service.
- Content-moderation and compliance controls applied to model inputs and outputs, including category filters aligned to the prohibited-content list above.
- Procedures for collecting and retaining records of consent and proof-of-age where applicable to any content of, or relating to, a real person.
- Deepfake detection and prevention controls, including refusals at the model and orchestration layers and review for content that purports to depict a real, identifiable person.
- AI chatbot moderation safeguards, including system-level instructions, refusal behaviour for prohibited categories, logging and review of flagged exchanges, and abuse-throttling.
- User disclosure and labelling of AI-generated and synthetic content, applied at the point of generation and preserved in the interface so members are aware that what they see and hear is not real.
- Copies of the relevant internal policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks behind these controls.
- Controls and procedures to detect and prevent attempts by members to use the service’s AI systems to generate illegal or prohibited content, including pattern detection on prompts, automated refusals, account-level review, and escalation paths.
These safeguards are reviewed on an ongoing basis as our models, providers, and the regulatory landscape evolve.
Complaints
If you believe content on the service, or content produced by the service, violates these policies — including the prohibited categories, the consent and likeness requirements, or the copyright requirements — please write to us at [email protected] with the subject line “Complaint”.
To help us investigate quickly, please include:
- A description of the content and where it appears on the service (URL, conversation reference, screenshot, or date and time).
- The basis of the complaint, including the policy or law you believe is being violated.
- Your name and a contact email address so we can follow up.
- Any supporting documentation you are able to provide.
We aim to acknowledge complaints within two (2) business days and to act on substantiated complaints within seven (7) business days. We will keep the complainant informed of the outcome to the extent consistent with the privacy of other members.
Content removal
Any person — member or non-member — may request removal of content on the service that depicts them, references them, or that they believe has been published in violation of these policies. To request removal, write to us at [email protected]with the subject line “Content Removal Request” and include:
- Identification of the content you are asking us to remove (URL, screenshot, conversation reference, or other locator that lets us find it).
- The reason for the request — for example, that the content depicts you and you did not consent, that it depicts a person under the age of majority, that it falls within a prohibited category, or that consent previously given has been withdrawn.
- Your name, your relationship to the subject of the content (where applicable), and contact details.
- A statement, signed under penalty of perjury where you are able to provide one, that the information in the request is accurate.
We will acknowledge requests within two (2) business days. Content identified as falling within a prohibited category, or for which a record of consent cannot be established, will be removed immediately upon verification. Other requests will be assessed and, where appropriate, the content will be removed promptly. We will inform the requester of the action taken.
Consent, once given, may be withdrawn at any time by writing to us at [email protected]. Upon receipt of a valid withdrawal we will remove the affected content from the service.
DMCA notice and takedown
We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512. If you believe that material on the service infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to enforce, please send a written notice to our designated agent at [email protected]with the subject line “DMCA Notice”.
Your notice must include, at minimum:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or — if multiple works at a single location are covered — a representative list of those works.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it (a URL is typically sufficient).
- Contact information for the complaining party, including a mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that the complaining party has a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Upon receipt of a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the identified material expeditiously and will take reasonable steps to notify the member who posted it. Members who believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification may submit a counter-notice to the same address. We will terminate the accounts of members who are determined, in appropriate circumstances, to be repeat infringers.
Enforcement
Violations of these policies may result in removal of content, suspension or termination of membership, refusal of refunds for terminated memberships where conduct was the cause, reporting to law enforcement where required by law, and reporting to our payment processors as required by their rules.
Updates to these policies
We may update these policies from time to time to reflect changes in our service, in our providers and controls, or in the requirements of payment processors and card networks. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to members through the service.
